At the DUG facility, we partnered with the building engineer and electrical contractor to conduct a targeted power system study focused on evaluating the capacity of the existing electrical infrastructure and supporting the planning of future load additions. This study was driven by the need to ensure compliance with NFPA 70E (NEC) allowable ampacity requirements while providing practical, data-backed insights for system expansion.

We analyzed various load scenarios, involving total additional load the system could support and targeted, more specific additional load scenarios on specific pieces of equipment.  Our findings equipped the project team with clear electrical limits, helping guide design decisions and future growth strategies with confidence.
