For Building 9230, our team delivered a complete redesign and specification package for the replacement of the existing fire alarm system with a fully integrated Fire Alarm and Mass Notification System (FAMNS). The design included comprehensive code-compliant layouts, system integration with base-wide emergency response protocols, and coordination with mechanical systems for duct smoke detection and CO monitoring. All initiating devices, notification appliances, control panels, and annunciators were selected and placed according to UFC, NFPA 72, and Fort Benning-specific requirements, ensuring occupant safety and system reliability. Additionally, the documentation addressed surge protection, battery backup, emergency shutdown features, and adherence to DoD antiterrorism standards.
